Over hemden klaar
Even een kort berichtje. Dit weekend heb ik de quilt " Over Hemden" afgemaakt. Goed gelukt vind ik!

Leader Ender project
Door alle projecten van de laatste tijd heen heb ik ook een leader ender project lopen: Roll Roll Cotton Ball van Bonnie Hunter, een mystery van een paar jaar geleden die ik bewaard heb. Veel driehoekjes, dus ik had er 200 klaar liggen. Zo door de tijd heen heb ik er al veel gemaakt, dus tijd om eens wat in elkaar te gaan zetten en ook vast een paar stringblocks te maken, aangezien dit helemaal niet mijn ding is moet ik daar altijd even voor gaan zitten. Het effect is wel enorm altijd, dus door de zure appel heen en er een aantal gemaakt. Dit is de stand van zaken tot nu toe.

Express you love quilt
Toch niet gelukt om iets meer te bloggen, maakt niet uit. Ik heb mijn tijd gestoken in patchen en quilten, ook leuk!
Ik heb de top af van de Over Hemden Quilt, nu nog batting en achterkant stof, dan kan die onder op de machine gequilt worden. Komt goed.
Verder heb ik bij haar op de EQC in Veldhoven stempels gekocht voor het maken van klosjes, met de hand. Erg handig en leuk voor in het vliegtuig naar Denemarken (legoland) met Hemelvaartsdag. Daar zal ik later wel foto's van laten zien.
Verder heb ik weer wat tijd gestoken in mijn Express Your Love Quilt van Leah Day.
Ik heb besloten om de haren dezelfde kleur te houden. Alhoewel mijn echoquilting nog niet is wat ik wil dat het is, vind ik het resultaat toch al wel verbluffend. Ik wist niet dat ik dit in mij had!!
De eerste foto is van het haar, de tweede is weer eens een overall plaatje.
Ik twijfel over wat ik in de ademdelen ga doen, eigenlijk wil ik niet nog meer woorden maar ik ben er ook nog niet uit wat wel. Iemand suggesties?

I finished the top off the shirts quilt, all I need is batting and fabric for the back, then it can be quilted.
At the EQC in Veldhoven I bought two stamps and dye to start work on a bobbinquilt from her. Very handy on the plane to Denmark (Legoland). I'll show pics of that later.
Furter more I spend time on Express Your Love by Leah Day.
I've decided to keep the hair in one colour. Although my echoquilting is not yet to a standard I would like it to be, I'm happy with the result, astonishing that I can do that.
The first picture is just the head part, the second is the entire quilt. I'm not sure what to do with the breath, I don't want to put in more words, I also don't know what to put in the breathsection. Any suggestions?

over hemden
Daar ben ik weer eens, ik heb weinig aan mijn blog gedaan, maar ja, druk, druk, druk heet dat geloof ik.
De hele maand februari en maart is waarde echtgenoot naar het buitenland (Irak of all places) geweest voor werk dus alles alleen moeten doen in de bv huishouding. Met een zoon van 9 die veel aandacht vraagt en alles in en om het huis voor mij, en een drukke baan, komt er weinig van quilten terecht. Op zich niet erg, ik heb eerder veel tijd besteed aan de Easy Street, maar het gaat toch wel weer kriebelen dan. Dus op de beurs geweest in Rijswijk, leuke stoffies gekocht en aangeboden aan een vriendin om een quilt te maken voor haar moeder. Dat zijn verknipte overhemden geworden van "verknipt.eu".
Erg leuk aan het worden! Wellicht ga ik weer wat meer op de blog schrijven, misschien ook wel niet. We zien wel. Fijne week!
Here I am again, I haven't been posting much, but I've been really busy. The whole off february and march, my hubbie has been out of the country ( to Irak off all places) because of work, so all the housework, a very demanding 9 year old son and a very busy job all waiting for me. So I've done little quilting, not a problem, I've spend a good amount of time on my Easy Street, but it starts to itch again. So I've been to the Quiltfair in Rijswijk, bought new fabric and offered a friend of mine to make a quilt for her mother. She bought shirtfabric from "verknipt.eu" . Really nice. Maybe i will write more blogposts, maybe not, we'll see.

Easy Street is AF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eindelijk eindelijk eindelijk, de Easy Street is af. De top heb ik al eerder laten zien. Voor het quilten heb ik de stoute schoenen aangetrokken en heb dit met freemotion quilting gedaan. Ik heb ieder blok apart gequilt en met verschillende kleuren. Omdat ik nog lang niet even regelmatig kan quilten heb ik zoveel mogelijk de kleur van de stof gebruikt zodat lelijke steken, niet helemaal recht of wat dan ook, niet gelijk goed zichtbaar is. Daar ben ik wel blij om want er zit wel het e.e.a. aan missers in. Maar dat geeft niet aangezien ik wist dat dit zou gebeuren. Ik heb er wel veel van geleerd. De border ziet er al weer veel beter uit dan het middenstuk!! Ik laat 4 foto's zien: de hele top, een blok iets meer in detail, een blok op de achterkant en nog een stuk border. Het label is in de maak!
Finally, my Easy Street is finished. As for the quilting: I went in the deep end. I did it all with freemotion quilting. Each block seperately and with different colours. Because I'm inexperienced with fmq on such a large scale and easy street not being a wholecloth, this was a great adventure, I've learned a lot. I've used matching colours to disquise the bloopers, and there are a lot of them, you just don't see them because of the matching colours! The border is looking so much better compared to the first block! I'll show you 4 pictures: the top, a detailed block from the front, from the back and a piece of the border. I still am making the label!!

Voortgang Easy Street
FMQ friday, dus tijd om te laten zien wat ik gedaan heb. Ik laat weer een klein stukje van de Easy Street zien, wederom de achterkant. De voorkant kun je op een foto sowieso minder goed zien. Ik schiet aardig op. Nog het e.e.a. aan draadjes afhechten, wat kleine vlakken nog quilten en de binding. Dan is 'ie klaar!
FMQ friday, so time to show what I've been up to. I'll show you a piece of Easy Street, again it's a picture of the back of the quilt. It's probably hard to get visible in a picture from the front. I'm almost done, still some small blocks to quilt, get rid of the loose threads and attach the binding. Than the quilt will be done.

Beleef de Lente 2013
Even een kort zondag berichtje. Zoals elk jaar is het ook dit jaar weer mogelijk om de vogels te volgen in het voorjaar. Het blijft leuk.!!
Aan de rechter kant van deze blog heb ik de link gezet mocht je ook willen kijken (de holenduif probeert ook dit jaar weer in de nestkast van de steenuil te komen. Het gat is echter veel te klein, toch maar blijven proberen!!!!).
